Award Requirements

This information will help smooth the way as you embark on your research journey, but remember ... don't hesitate to contact the OUR — we are here for you!

Steps to success

  1. Complete the grant review quiz in Blackboard within one month of award notification. 

  2. Register your project at the beginning of the semester that your grant starts, and re-register every semester you work on the project. 

  3. Complete the CITI Responsible Conduct of Research on-line training. Use our How-To Guide [pdf] to access CITI training. 

  4. Fulfill compliance requirements for projects involving human or animal subjects and/or research abroad.

  5. Maintain consistent effort toward completing your project during the grant period. 

  6. Present your research at one of our USC-sponsored events: Spring Discover USC (preferred), Summer Poster Symposium or Fall Showcase

  7. Submit a one- to two-page research report [pdf] to our office through Blackboard. This report is due one month after completing your project or before graduation, whichever is first.
