Where do I view my bill and when is it due?

You can view your bill on your Self Service Carolina account.  Visit the USC Bursar’s Office website payment deadlines and other details.

How do I pay my fees?

You can pay online through Self Service Carolina or in the Business Office.  Business Office hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday – Friday.  The Business Office only accepts cash, checks and money orders.  Credit card payments are not accepted in the Business Office, only through the online payment portal.  Visit the USC Bursar’s Office website for more information.

Can I set up a payment plan?

The University of South Carolina offers a payment plan option for students. The tuition and fees balance is divided into four equal payments. The plan costs $75.00 per semester to set up. The first payment of 25% and the $75.00 fee is due by the first cancellation date. The remaining three payments are due over the next three months on or around the 10th of the month. There is a late charge of $100.00 per month up to a maximum of $300.00 per semester. The payment plan needs to be set up every semester.

What if I withdraw from school or my status changes from a full-time to a part-time student?

Students registered for 12 or more credit hours are considered full-time.  Financial aid recipients who withdraw from class and/or change from full-time to part-time status, may incur a balance due to University if the financial aid award stipulates full-time enrollment as a requirement.  Loss of financial aid due to a change in enrollment status obligates the student for the balance due.  You are strongly encouraged to check with Financial Aid before dropping classes.

How are refunds handled?

University guidelines for refunds are posted on the USC Bursar’s Office website.
