Gamecocks for Babies
What to Expect
Gamecocks for Babies is a student organization that works alongside the March of Dimes to help tackle the issue of prematurity by hosting a 5K run/walk around the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. Our event not only helps raise awareness, but it also raises money that goes directly to research about birth defects and prematurity and funds NICU family programs. South Carolina was given the grade of a 'D' on the national prematurity report card with a preterm birth rate of 11.2%. Richland County alone received a 'F' with 11.7%. We want to make the future brighter for more babies. G4B is an excellent way to get involved on campus and become a part of the movement to give more babies a second chance!
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
