What to Expect
See The Difference was founded after Taylor Faherty traveled to Costa Rica over spring break on a Capstone Scholars medical trip. She noticed that despite giving all of her patients an eye exam, the clinic was unable to provide any treatment for their conditions. Upon returning to the US, she immediately began collecting eyeglasses to send back to the community with which she worked. Today, See the Difference has collected over 1,000 pairs of donated prescription glasses through established partnerships with local Columbia churches. Our organization cleans and assigns prescription to each pair of glasses before sending full boxes on medical mission trips to Latin American countries.
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
