What to Expect
The Society for Advancement of the Chemical Sciences (SACS) is an organization geared towards graduate students in the department of chemistry and biochemistry which aims to create social events for networking opportunities as well as a break from the long hours of work expected of us. This organization puts on many events for the chemistry and biochemistry students and faculty including a large barbecue at the beginning of the year as well as SACS lunches throughout the year.
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
