Rural Interest Group

What to Expect

The purpose of the Rural Interest Group is to offer a platform for students, of all majors, who have an interest to work and/or live in a rural setting or learn more about rural communities. Topics and themes would include health care, economy, education, and culture, policy, and government. The Rural Interest Group will help members enrich their education and understanding about rural communities, have a broader understanding of all issues which impact the rural setting, learn about policy and legislation that may impact rural communities, and give them access to apply to summer opportunities within the University and their partners.

Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.

Term: Ongoing
