Association for Women in Mathematics
What to Expect
AWM is organized and will be operated for educational and scientific purposes to promote an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the mathematical sciences, including pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and their applications. Through guest speakers, interactive panels, social nights and service events AMW hopes to provide a greater understanding of the contributions of women in the mathematics sciences. The chapter also offers mentoring and encouragement of women and girls as they prepare for careers in the math.
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
