In addition to the Human Resources, accounting and buildings maintenance role, the division supports and maintains collegial relations with other university departments and institutes, coordinates with state agencies and responds to legislative requests. Public outreach is accomplished through the coordination of the South Carolina Archaeology Month and public lectures. Fundraising is accomplished through the USC-SCIAA Archaeological Research Trust and project specific donations through the USC Education Foundation.
