"I interned for Sony Music Entertainment for eight months in New York City, and it was such a life changing experience. After doing projects on many different Sony artists, I realized that I wanted to do what these artists were doing. Being surrounded by music and learning the ins and outs of the industry solidified that music is what I was meant to do. I got the opportunity to record three new singles in a famous recording studio in the city, and that was such an amazing experience. Music allows me to show who I am as a person, and it's made me who I am today. My first single right now is very much on the pop side, but my upcoming EP features a different sound. I would say it is a lot more contemporary R&B which is what I love to listen to. I'm also still experimenting with my sound, which is all a part of the journey as an artist. USC helped me a lot because that's how I met my friend who produced my first single, which we recorded at the music school. I think that I've met so many amazing people at USC who are willing to support and help me with this musical journey. I really want to meet more producers and artists at USC to work and collaborate with. I also want to bring a new sound as an artist to the Cola scene and just share my life to the students here through my music. You can find me on all streaming services under "Ishani." My single out now is called "Done With You," and my EP "Piece of Me" is set to drop sometime in October. You can also find updates to my music and covers on my Instagram and my YouTube channel. I’m also starting to perform at Soda City on as many Saturdays as I can, and I have a show at New Brookland Tavern on Sept. 17."
