Campus Conversation: CJ Leathers

“I have been involved in fashion ever since I got to college. But it's only really gotten stronger as time has gone on. Once I started to post outfits and stuff onto my Instagram, people started to follow me. And eventually, I just started to meet a lot of these people in real life, when I would go out and thrift and make connections and network.”

“Depop has really helped with an outlet of getting people to these events — sustainable fashion and Thrift Street — and really trying to network. That is what I like the most about it, and I look forward to doing it in the fall as well. I think the more time you give it, the bigger the network you make.”

“We call them Thrift Street. It's not necessarily just a vintage market, but it's based around fashion. We put out an art gallery and people will be able to bring in their art. Of course, we have vendors there to shop from with vintage clothes, people playing music and local artists around the community.”
