Campus Conversation: Kirstyn Dietrich

“As I approach my final week as an undergraduate student, I’ve taken time to reflect on just how life-changing USC has been for me. From the friendships that have become family to the unforgettable traditions that shaped my college years, every moment at this university has meant something. I’ve been able to explore every corner of the music and sports industries, from attending the Grammys and CMA Awards to working major music festivals and even helping at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. I’ve planned my own events and concerts, spoken on panels, chosen award winners, grown as a professional and discovered who I am because of the opportunities USC placed in my path.

"I’m going to miss this place more than I can put into words. USC has given me community, purpose, confidence and some of the best memories of my life. It’s prepared me to enter the alumni world with a strong foundation as I continue navigating the music industry. The people, the traditions, the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself. I’ll carry it all forever. And as every Gamecock says, 'Forever to Thee.' ”

— Kirstyn Dietrich, senior services management major with a minor in music industry studies, A&R coordinator for Greene Street Records (graduating December 2025)
