The application process varies depending on the type of program you choose. Deadlines for each program type are found below.  Before you apply, be sure to check the specific instructions for each program! 

The following deadlines indicate when the initial application must be completed.

 

Global UofSC Programs

UofSC offers intensive, multi-disciplinary overseas summer programs in which students travel with UofSC faculty members and earn 3-9 credits while participating in cultural excursions and academic activities as a cohort. These include Global UofSC in Costa Rica: Global Health, Global UofSC in London and Global UofSC in the Galápagos: Sustainability.

Global Classroom Programs

UofSC faculty members from academic departments across campus organize faculty-led programs which typically focus on a specific subject area or foreign language. These programs typically take place during  Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer/Maymester. Program sites and course offerings vary from year to year.

Global Direct Programs

Global Direct programs are sponsored by UofSC, but students pay tuition and fees directly to the host university or study abroad organization. Students can choose from a variety of programs for the summer, semester, or academic year. Some of these programs focus on specific topics or foreign languages, while others offer an array of courses in various subject areas.

Global Exchange Programs  

UofSC offers exchange programs in conjunction with partner institutions in over 20 countries. Some of these exchange programs focus on specific areas of study, while others are open to all majors. Students selected to participate in an exchange program will be charged UofSC in-state tuition, paid directly to UofSC. Housing and meals are paid overseas and vary from program to program.

Global Partner Programs  

UofSC offers students a variety of additional program options in a wide range of countries around the world. Because of the relationships  with our Global Partners we are able to extend our programming options.  Students can apply to the program which best matches their academic and geographic preferences. All tuition and fees will be paid directly to the Global Partner. In addition to semester and academic year options, students can choose to study abroad through one of these programs in the summer.

Graduate/Professional Students

International Business Exchange Programs

The Moore School's strong international links have facilitated the development of partnerships with over 45 of the best business schools around the world. Every spring, juniors majoring in the International Business program have the opportunity to study at one of these schools through an exclusive Global Exchange Program. These partnerships allow students to build a network of global contacts with future business leaders around the world.

Unaffiliated Programs

Is your destination of choice not listed on our website? That means it is an unaffiliated program and has not been pre-approved for our students. Traveling with unaffiliated programs requires applicants to submit a petition in addition to their application.


Destinations of Higher Risk

Is your destination of choice also a Destination of Higher Risk? Traveling to a Destination of Higher Risk requires that applicants submit a petition in addition to their application.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

*Global Exchange and Global Direct Program applications WILL NOT be accepted after the regular deadlines (March 1 and September 15).

**Spring Global Exchange Program applications submitted between July 1 and September 15 will be considered with the regular deadline applicants. 

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE FOLLOWING DATES:
- April 1: Maymester, Summer, Fall, and Academic Year programs

- November 1: Spring programs

LATE APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BETWEEN (MARCH 2 - APRIL 1, OCTOBER 2 - NOVEMBER 1 ) WILL INCLUDE A MANDATORY NON-REFUNDABLE $50 LATE FEE.
