Leena Holt named director of Parent and Family Programs

Leena Holt has been named director of Parent and Family Programs at the University of South Carolina. She will serve as the primary contact for parents and families of undergraduate students at South Carolina and will be responsible for managing events and communications that help parents and families support their students’ success.

Holt comes to the role from UofSC University Housing, where she served since 2013 as assistant director of residence life for the south campus area. As co-chair of the university’s new Staff Senate, she developed bylaws and coordinated the officer selection process. In the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support, she has served as co-chair of the Resiliency Project and co-chair of the Professional Development Team.

Holt earned her master’s degree in higher education student affairs and administration from UofSC and her bachelor’s in communications/psychology from Eastern Michigan University.
