Lauren Brown is the new director of professional development for the Division of Student Affairs of Academic Support. In this role – a new one for the division – she will contribute to the professional growth and career development of Student Affairs and Academic Support staff members.

Brown has more than a decade of experience in higher education, including roles in student success; wellness education; and orientation, transition and parent programs.

Most recently, she served as associate director of early alert and intervention for the University of South Carolina Student Success Center.

Brown earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, and a bachelor’s degree in human development from the State University of New York at Oswego.
