Second Spring Passport Fair on March 27

The University of South Carolina hosts its second passport fair during the spring semester on Wednesday, March 27 in the Golden Spur Gameroom, located in the basement of the Russell House.

The fair runs from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., allowing UofSC community members to get their paperwork processed for a passport. To apply, the applicant must bring the following to the fair:

  • Complete passport application DS-11 from the U.S. State Department website, completed online or manually in black ink only and unsigned
  • 2-inch-square color photograph taken within the last six months (photo service is available for $10 payable to UofSC)
  • Original certified long-form birth certificate or other proof of citizenship, not damaged or altered
  • Valid driver’s license or state-, military- or federal government-issued ID

The cost for a passport is $110, payable by check or money order only to the U.S. Department of State. For expedited service, add $60 to the cost. The execution fee payable to UofSC is $35 and can be paid by cash, credit or CarolinaCard. If you need a photo taken, add $10 to the UofSC bill.

For more information on passports, visit the U.S. State Department website or call (803) 777-3168. Those who cannot make the Wednesday, March 27 passport fair can still get their paperwork filed on Saturdays in March at the 1600 Hampton St. postal services office.
