The University of South Carolina announces the search for the position of Faculty Principal of the Capstone Scholars living-learning residential community of students.

The Faculty Principal for the Capstone Scholars will lead an inter-disciplinary community program with the active support of associate faculty principals, graduate students, student residents, resident mentors, faculty associates, and associates from the community. Students in this community will come from a broad range of majors and are high-performing students who have received a UofSC scholarship. The community’s purpose is to enhance, both academically and experientially, the university experience of its residents.

  • Desired candidate: Full-time tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty member at the UofSC-Columbia campus
  • Start date: Summer 2020
  • Reports to: Both Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies and the Associate Vice President of Student Housing and Well Being, and serves at the pleasure of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
