New work management system coming to USC

The process of building maintenance and other work requests will be upgraded over the summer as University Facilities Services and University Housing begin using the AiM work management system online.

What is changing: The goal of AiM is speed and transparency for the campus community. The new system will reduce down time between request submission and work beginning. It will also allow requesters to track orders online.

What is staying the same: Campus community members will still submit work requests via an online form and log in with their university credentials like other campus systems.

How it works: The new system is intuitive, delivering requests to the right department quicker without the need for human action. AiM has logic programming to assist the requester in submitting the service request. This logic allows enhanced response times due to prioritization. AiM also will integrate with other university software so repairs can be made at optimal times.

When will this go live? Phase I of the new system will debut July 1. Further information will come in June before the launch date. Phase II will consist of lease management, capital planning and project management as well as facilities assessment and needs analysis.
