Parking and Transportation Services earns Best in Parking honor

The University of South Carolina’s Parking and Transportation Services was named Best In Parking by Parking Magazine this year.

One of the highest industry honors possible, the award recognizes leadership in innovation, excellence and best practices.

USC’s Parking and Transportation Services has started a number of new initiatives over the last two years, including the new crowdsourcing parking app ParkUSC. The department has also restarted the Late Night Shuttle, developed a new lunchtime express shuttle to take students between Russell House and Campus Village, and improved ADA parking as well as paratransit services.

The most recent initiative is a partnership with USC Student Government to unveil Zipcar service for all students, faculty, staff and alumni. The service allows members of the campus community to reserve cars for round-trip travels up to 180 miles with additional charges after that.
