"I LOVE working with Campus Rec! What I like most is getting to interact with so many different people every day and helping to contribute to a healthier UofSC. Because of COVID-19, safety and cleanliness are more at the front of my mind with all of my positions. Before we re-opened, I was teaching group exercise classes on Instagram Live, which was a totally new experience. Group exercise capacities have gone down due to physical distancing guidelines. Overall, there are a lot of new procedures and policies to keep everybody as safe as possible. With personal training, we still have to follow the physical distancing guidelines, which means I can't do anything hands-on. We also offer online personal training.
Having a busy schedule can get stressful, but breaks in my day help me to outline times I can study, workout, etc. Teaching group exercise is great, because even if I have a busy week, I'll still be getting good workouts in."
