Campus Conversation: Will Hollerung

"I’ve always had a passion for storytelling, and I've been blessed with being able to channel that passion into the photo and video mediums. I spend most of my time working with narrative formats whether it be a short film or a story-based self-portrait. Right now, I'm working on a one-man film and exploring Shakespeare's canon through a photo series. For this semester, my main goal was to create a solid portfolio of my art. I wanted to leave UofSC with a body of work that I'm not only proud of, but truly speaks to who I am as a creator as I enter the post-grad world. I've also spent a lot of time building out freelance opportunities and establishing a solid list of clients. I’m involved with The Carolina Agency, which is a student-run advertising agency in the School of Journalism. It's helped me explore every aspect of the creative and PR processes within an agency. I've been fortunate enough to work on the creative team and lead the accounts division as the director of advertising. Everyone there is extremely talented; they all push me to my fullest potential, and then some. I am the type of person who wants a hand in every department so I can learn and grow, and TCA has helped do just that!"
