Board of Trustees hears numerous updates during October meeting

Three committees of the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees met Friday (Oct. 24) to hear updates from various units and departments across campus, including:

Audit, Compliance and Risk committee

First, this committee had an overview of an external audit from the fiscal year 2024-25. The committee received a financial update for the current fiscal year followed by a program compliance report from the Darla Moore School of Business MBA program.

Finance and Infrastructure committee

The committee approved a trio of fees at USC Upstate on Friday:

  • Tuition rate for undergraduate and graduate students under the Risepoint contract.
  • Summer internship tuition rates.
  • The addition of an institution to the list of International Partner Universities.

The committee also approved a gift naming opportunity and heard updates on the current year’s budget and on USC’s budget review and annual consolidated financial report and debt.

In addition, the committee also heard updates from the Educational and Development foundations, the athletics department and the Division of Information Technology.

The committee heard a presentation from USC’s Palmetto College and new chancellor Craig Wilson and others on campus security measures.
