The University of South Carolina Board of Trustees met Friday (April 24) at Gateway 737 and approved several contracts and stadium bond financing.
Trustees approved:
- Extending Oracle licenses and services for two years with the USC Division of Information Technology.
- Signing a two-year contract for new assistant men’s basketball coach Bob Donewald Jr.
- Amending the Gamecock Sports Properties, LLC (Learfield) multimedia corporate sponsorship agreement with the USC Department of Athletics.
- Extending a services agreement with the USC Alumni Association for five years.
The board also approved:
- Replacing a portion of athletics bonds financing renovations of Williams-Brice Stadium with higher-education bonds for parts of the project that will be primarily used by the university to support broader institutional purposes for student engagement, campus programming and events.
- Refunding of a series of athletics facilities revenue bonds that will lower annual debt payments and enhance long-term financial flexibility for the university.
