Students

Can you stay awake for 24 hours, work with a team around the clock, survive an intense creative marathon — and have fun while doing it?

CreateAthon@USC 2017 is calling you.

CreateAthon is not only limited to the students enrolled in the classes that participate in the event, any student can apply to volunteer. Our student volunteers give us everything they've got, but get even more in return. This marathon service-learning experience is like no other.

Volunteering for CreateAthon not only benefits the nonprofits, it’s highly beneficial for the students. Students write copy, design graphics, write creative proposals, make friends, and much more. CreateAthon can end up being what makes one student’s resume stand out from the rest.

There are two ways for students to participate:

Creative Team
We need thinkers, writers, art directors, designers, photographers, videographers, audio video producers, editors, web strategists, UX designers and app developers. We can even use musicians! If it’s creative, we want to use it. These are the people that will be building and then pitching the campaigns that the nonprofits will leave with and use in their organizations.

Documentary/House Team
We need multimedia creators, writers, social media wizards, AV producers and editors who can work before, during and after CreateAthon@USC to record the event and tell our story, creating content from social media to video — maybe even making a documentary. It’s up to you. Be creative and help spread the word.
