The University of South Carolina offers a variety of courses that provide continuing education units. Continuing education units, or CEUs, provide the framework for documenting your efforts to update or broaden your knowledge and skills through non-credit educational options. CEUs are accepted by many employers and professional agencies as evidence of your commitment to career advancement and the maintenance of professional competence. Courses granting CEUs do not offer academic credit. Because various licensed professions are known by different names, you should check with your licensing board for your profession to ensure that the course you plan to take meets their education requirements. Terminology examples include:  CMEs or Continuing Medical Education for medical professions; CLEs or Continuing Legal Education for legal professions and PLUs or professional learning units for teaching professions.

Program and event locations vary by course. Details will be provided in your registration confirmation email and in reminder emails leading up to the program. Please be sure to check your registration confirmation and reminder emails for the most up to date program information.
