Bio

Celina-Maria Espinosa de Rosales was born in Valhalla, New York but was raised here in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended Winthrop University from 2013-2017 and received a bachelor's in Elementary and Early childhood Education. She returned to Columbia to teacher first and second grade. She began her journey at USC receiving her Master’s in Language and Literacy in 2021 and beginning her PhD program in the same discipline. She will also be teaching a U101 section and an adjunct professor in the college of education.

Celina-Maria loves reading (she has an extreme number of books), watching movies, cooking, baking, and anything artsy. When she isn’t working on all the things she can be found at Target, Starbucks, trying to find a beach, or hiding in bookstores.

She loves talking about everything with everyone, sweets, and delicious food, and being outside. Please feel free to come say hi! She considers herself obsessed with a lot of things cats, art, music, languages, Friends, Star Wars, Hamilton, the list goes on! She is super excited to be here and can’t wait to meet and get to know everyone! 

Celina-Maria Espinosa's responsibilities:

• Overall supervision of residents and physical structure
• Address facilities issues regarding resident rooms and common spaces
• Supervise Resident Assistants
• Lead the Community Education Team (CET)
• Coordinate application processes for residency
