Background

Terrence Gilmore joined USC Palmetto College as Director of Recruitment in October 2022.  In this role, he is responsible for developing and facilitating effective recruitment strategies for USC Palmetto College Online.  Terrence works closely with the PC Regional Recruiters at USC Lancaster, USC Salkehatchie, USC Sumter, and USC Union on achieving USC Palmetto College Online recruitment goals and objectives. 

Terrence has worked in the field of higher education student recruitment, admissions, and marketing for nearly 20 years at several universities throughout the state of South Carolina.  His prior roles during his higher education career includes Admissions Counselor, Recruiter, Director of Community Outreach, and Campus Director. 

Terrence earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from Benedict College and a Master of Science in Management from Southern Wesleyan University.  Terrence currently serves on several education advisory boards throughout the Midland area of South Carolina.  Terrence is a member of the Columbia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

In his leisure, Terrence enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends.
