Teena is a current student taking courses toward Palmetto College's online degree in Criminal Justice.

"I've worked here since 2003, and I was taking courses on campus here in Columbia. But the higher I got in rank at my job, the harder it got for me to actually attend classes. So when Palmetto College's online courses became available, I knew that was what I needed to continue pursuing my degree.

The professors are very helpful. Just because it's online doesn't mean you don't get that personal learning experience. They do a lot of things on the discussion boards that allow you to discuss things with your classmates. The other people taking classes are often other professionals, too, so the discussions can get really interesting when the students are from all different walks of life. It makes for a good learning environment even though you're not meeting them face to face."
