Kevin Torres
A native of New Jersey who was raised in an Italian and Puerto Rican household, Signor Torres speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Russian and Portuguese.
An avid international traveler, he has traveled to 16 countries and lived in Colombia.
He earned his B.A. in Spanish with a minor in French and later pursued the M.A.T. in Foreign Languages at the University of South Carolina.
Since Fall 2016, Signor Torres has taught Spanish, French and Italian for USC. He has also led two study abroad trips to Spain and Costa Rica.
His areas of research are in the retention and recruitment of Latino faculty in higher education, post-colonial literature (Algeria) and the history of the French language.
