Niranji joined the group in October 2015. She is from Kurunegala, Sri Lanka and received a B.Sc. (honors in computational chemistry) in 2014 from the University of Colombo. Her undergraduate research was done with Professor Samantha Weerasinghe on, " Investigation of the association of caffeine with aromatic drug molecules."
Bing joined the theory group in November 2011and graduated with a Ph.D. in August of 2016. In his doctoral research, he explored estimation of the quantum effects of nuclei in large molecular system. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Ignacio Franco at the Department of Chemistry, University of Rochester, NY.
Jim joined the group in the Fall of 2009 and graduated with a Ph.D. in May of 2014. In his doctoral research, he explored the effects of substrate motion and of the quantum behavior of the proton during the rate-limiting step of the Soybean Lipoxygenase-1 reaction. He is currently teaching chemistry and doing research at Alma College, Alma, Michigan.
