The AI Task Force at the School of Medicine Columbia serves as the central body overseeing all AI-related initiatives across the School, providing strategic direction, coordination, and oversight for efforts that advance the ethical, effective, and innovative use of AI in medical education, research, and clinical practice. Comprising a diverse group of faculty and staff from multiple SOMC departments and disciplines, the Task Force ensures that a wide range of AI use cases and perspectives are represented - from biomedical research and clinical care to education, compliance, and data governance.
