Roark Wins First Place at AI Day Poster Competition

Kasie Roark, MS, a member of the Floyd School of Medicine's AI in Medicine Task Force, won first place in the Teaching, Learning, and Student Support category at the inaugural USC AI Day. Her presentation, “Shaping the Future of Medicine: AI Initiatives at USC SOM,” highlighted a range of projects focused on promoting responsible and effective use of AI across the institution.

AI Ethics in Medicine and Law Symposium

On Friday, Jan. 9, School of Medicine faculty and students took part in a symposium at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law to discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming the fields of medicine and law. The event featured over a dozen speakers, live AI demonstrations and panels to bring together physicians, legal scholars, ethicists, and students to discuss the promises of AI in professional practice.
