I have received awards for outstanding teaching faculty as well as the BEACON Chairman’s Award for Faculty Excellence.

I have several abstracts, publications, and presentations listed in my CV. I would like to highlight that I have organized and chaired the Health Sciences Center Research Showcase that most recently has displayed about 70 projects from throughout the system annually. Moreover, for a number of years, I taught the pulmonary review section for the national MedStudy board review course twice a year. I also was the Pulmonary Section Editor for the MedStudy board review books. I continue to provide several national presentations and workshops, have continued scholarship in peer-reviewed sources, have written book chapters in clinical and the history of medicine areas, and mentor fellows, residents and students with their research projects.

Finally, I have served on several medical school committees including Admissions, Appointment and Promotions, Program Evaluation, Faculty Representation, and have chaired the Faculty Development Committee.
