Bio

Background: Born in New York, Dr. LoVerde received a bachelor's of science degree from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut where he majored in human movement and sports science. He received his undergraduate medical education from The New York Institute of Technology where he attended on an academic scholarship. While in medical school he completed his bench research in pathology and histology and served as a teaching assistant for gross anatomy and pathophysiology. He graduated in 2012 from a combined program with both a Masters of Science in neuromuscular science as well as a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado and combined fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina). Dr. LoVerde has published in several international, peer reviewed journals and serves as invited faculty for the American College of Chest Physicians. He joined PRISMA Health and the The University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in September of 2020.
