Bio
| Background: | Dr. Porter-Stransky is an experienced medical science educator and scholar. She directs the Brain and Behavior course and teaches neuroscience, behavioral science, and lifestyle medicine. Her research program focuses on medical education, science outreach, and lifestyle medicine and provides research opportunities for medical trainees. She also serves as Executive Director of the School of Medicine Greenville’s Medical Education Research Incubator (MEDRI), which provides training and support in medical education research for faculty, staff, and students through a professional development seminar series, project consultations, and a MedEd grant program. She earned her B.S. from Sweet Briar College and PhD from the University of Michigan. She completed postdoctoral fellowships in neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina and Emory University School of Medicine. |
