Deadline approaching for proof of health insurance

For the 2019-20 academic year, undergraduates taking six or more hours and paying the student health fee, graduate students taking six or more hours, graduate students with assistantships and all international students are required to show proof of health insurance as a condition of enrollment.

Students who do not have proof of outside insurance must enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan.

Students who provide proof of coverage by July 18 will not see a health insurance premium fee on their account. If the health insurance fee is on your account, the charge will be removed after the waiver is approved.

Students do not obtain a waiver out by the deadline or do not have adequate health insurance coverage, will be enrolled in the university-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan, and the premium will remain on their tuition bill. The final deadline to obtain a coverage waiver is Sept. 13.

Instructions on how to waive coverage or enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan can be found on the Student Health Services website.
