NCAA Tournament games bring more traffic to arena district

Parking will be first come, first served on Friday in major surface lots



The NCAA Tournament is back at Colonial Life Arena this week, and parking around the arena will be more congested than normal on Friday (March 22).

What you need to know: Parking for basketball attendees and permit holders will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the following lots and garages:

  • AD16 (650 Gadsden St.)
  • FS4 and GS4 (surface lots near Colonial Life Arena)
  • Discovery Garage 

FS11, the lot behind the Discovery Garage at 930 College St., will be available to permit holders all day Friday.

What's next: Here are the scheduled tip-off times for Friday's first-round games:

11:30 a.m.: No. 8 North Carolina vs. No. 9 Michigan State
2 p.m.: No. 1 South Carolina vs. No. 16 Presbyterian/Sacred Heart

Also, Athletics Village will also be busy on Friday with track and field hosting the Weems Baskin Invitational all day and men’s tennis hosting Mississippi State at 5 p.m.
