The Career Center is pleased to announce that funding for professional development opportunities and internships/co-ops is officially available for students through the Richter Mini-Grant and the Richter Internship Scholarship.
Richter Mini-Grant Application
Richter Mini-Grants (less than $1,000) may be used to support students’ internships, employment or professional development-related expenses, all of which must also be related to their academic plans at USC. The mini-grants may cover expenses such as:
- Applying to/interviewing for internships/work.
- Supplementary compensation for an internship/work.
- Transportation, hotels, relocation.
- Professional attire, materials, supplies, technology.
- Conference attendance.
- Membership dues/subscriptions to professional organizations/publications.

Richter Internship Scholarship Application
The Richter Internship Scholarships are between $800 and $5,000 and support undergraduate students with a part-time or full-time unpaid or underpaid (less than minimum wage) internship at a vetted nonprofit or government organization during the summer that relates to their professional and academic goals.
