Campus Conversation: Sammy Khalil

"Over the past four years of attending the University of South Carolina, the courses I have taken influenced me and helped shape my career path. My goal of becoming a primary care physician solidified with a majority of the public health classes and teachings that influenced the values I will hold as a future physician. After graduation, I will be attending the Duke University Master of Biomedical Sciences Bridges to Excellence Scholars program. After receiving my master's I will be able to attend the UofSC School of Medicine Greenville.

Looking back, one of my favorite memories at the university is the football season during my first year here. As a freshman, I did not know anything about the sport of football but quickly fell in love with the energy and passion the fans had. Immersing myself in campus life was what made the academics here and the overall experience go hand in hand."
