Safety continues to be our top priority for you and the entire Carolina Community. Accordingly, we are taking proactive measures to ensure everyone’s safety on move-in day!
In order to be clear to check-in on your move-in day, you must submit your COVID-19 completed vaccination card or COVID-19 test to MyHealthSpace Portal.
Tip from UofSC Housing: Blurry or distorted uploads will not be processed by UHS. Accordingly, even if you are vaccinated or tested negative, you will not be cleared in our system. Please ensure you are uploading a clear, vivid image!
University Housing will not be providing Quarantine & Isolation (Q&I) Housing for students that test positive for, or are exposed to, COVID-19 during the 2021-2022 academic year.
All students must submit a written plan of action to University Housing outlining their intentions of where they will go to quarantine or isolate. You will submit your plan when selecting your move-in timeslot on your Housing Portal.
Example: If I were to need quarantine & isolation housing, I will drive to my home in Irmo, SC and stay with my family. I will have a place to stay for the necessary time I need to quarantine and/or isolate. If for some reason I were unable to go home, I will stay with my aunt in Simpsonville, SC.
In order to move into your Carolina Home this fall, you must complete all normal college vaccinations and be cleared by Student Health Services. Discover more about vaccination requirments.
Personal property and liability insurance is required for all students. You will need a minimum of $5,000 of coverage for fire and water damage, theft and vandalism plus a $50,000 liability insurance policy. Discover more about required insurance requirements.
To make your Move-In day easier, it is suggested that all students pick up your Carolina Card prior to August 6.
