The University of South Carolina (USC) invites nominations, inquiries, and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Medicine Columbia.
The university seeks an exceptional individual to provide leadership and direction for the School of Medicine as it continues to expand its footprint on the new Health Sciences Campus in Columbia, S.C. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Provost, the dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the SOMC and is a key member of USC’s academic leadership team. The dean is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the academic mission and for achieving the school’s strategic priorities, enabling the school to fulfill its mission to serve the people of South Carolina and beyond, through exemplary biomedical education, transformative research, and compassionate care for all.

A search committee has been thoughtfully selected to include faculty and staff from across the disciplines of the College.
