In 2024, Tyler Westall graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in German. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Languages, Literatures & Cultures with a concentration in German. His research interests are focused on German literature and film from the mid 19th century through the 1920s, leading up to the rise of National Socialism. He has a particular interest in the connections between Georg Büchner, the German Expressionist movement, and the fragmentation of subjectivity.
