**Suitable for freshmen and all majors.**This course examines how writing and editing is both solo work and trusted partnership. Besides editing the finalists of the annual South Carolina High School Writing Contest for its published anthology, students will respond to a number of personal writing prompts. As they write their way to a clearer understanding of themselves, they will sharpen their editing techniques. Writers of various genres will visit throughout the semester to share their professional experiences.
