The Honors College offers three different kinds of courses: SCHC special topic courses, H01 stand-alone Honors courses and H10 cross-listed courses.
SCHC courses are the Honors College’s signature special topics courses led by research faculty, senior instructors and accomplished professionals from the local Columbia community. These courses can be traditional courses offered in fall or spring, or also beyond the classroom courses, such as summer study away courses.

H01s are sections only Honors students can enroll in. We offer H01s from every single college on campus giving students the opportunity to have an Honors experience in their selected major or minor.
See here for our most recent H01 course offerings.
H10s are small sections (2-10) of Honors students that meet with a non-Honors section of a course. Instructors balance both sections’ needs and find ways to create meaningful interaction among the students.
H-Options are unique agreements between the student, instructor and the Honors College and they are not considered regular course offerings.
