Fall Thesis Forum

The Fall Thesis Forum is an opportunity for the Honors College to highlight exceptional scholarly, creative and applied thesis projects from a range of academic disciplines. The event offers Honors students finishing their theses in the fall semester an opportunity to present their projects to a wider audience.

2024 Fall Thesis Forum

Friday, November 15 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Russell House University Union

The Fall Forum will be comprised of hour-long student panels, organized by theme, with two to three 12-minute student thesis presentations in each panel. We’ll host 5-10 panels throughout the day.

Yes—providing that you have met the following conditions:

  • You have permission from your thesis director.
  • Both the thesis director and second reader MUST attend the Fall Forum presentation.
  • You schedule a follow-up meeting with the thesis director and second reader after the panel presentation to privately discuss the project and their specific recommendations for edits or revisions.

The Fall Forum is a free, non-ticketed event. All friends, family and colleagues are welcome to attend. We encourage you to invite guests to attend your presentation.

The application portal for the Fall Forum opens on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Complete your application before midnight on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Students will be notified if they are selected to present at the Fall Forum by October 18, 2024.

The thesis team with review all proposals and organize panels based on possible thematic connections between presentations. The team will assign panel times based on availability/preference for specific session times as indicated on the application. You will be asked to confirm your acceptance by November 1, 2024.
