USC School of Medicine Greenville welcomes new leadership team member

GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 31, 2017)—The USC School of Medicine Greenville is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Sharkey, M.D., as the new Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Dr. Sharkey joins us from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and brings with her decades of research and medical education experience. Additionally, Dr. Sharkey is a pediatric cardiologist with a special interest in Marfan syndrome and familial aortopathies.

"Dr. Sharkey’s coming to the USC School of Medicine Greenville GHS was the result of a very intentional national search, said Jerry Youkey, M.D., dean of the medical school. "I was grateful and am excited to have her join USCSOM Greenville as our Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, as she is the final piece of an extraordinary leadership team that promises to take the school through its next phase of evolution and continuous improvement to serve our students and our communities."
