UofSC offers event park and ride options

The west side of campus Friday (Oct. 16) night will busy with the My Carolina’s homecoming Brad Paisley Country National College Tour at the Alumni Center and the Def Leppard concert at Colonial Life Arena.

In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion, the University of South Carolina is offering park and ride shuttle service to the two concerts. Shuttles will begin at the Pendleton Street and Senate Street garages at 5 p.m. and end one hour after the last event ends. Shuttles will drop off on Park Street, which is located near the Colonial Life Arena and the Alumni Center. The cost of the shuttle is $3 per rider. Both garages can be accessed at the 1000 block of Pickens Street. Note: allow at least 15 minutes for shuttle transports.

On Saturday (Oct. 17), Gameday shuttles will begin at 1 p.m. and end an hour after the game. Cost is $3 per rider. Pickups are Colonial Life Arena/Coliseum Lot B, the Russell House, and Blowfish Stadium and dropoff is on Rosewood Drive, east of Main Gate to Fairgrounds.  For more information visit
