The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the application period for the 2018-2019 SPARC graduate research grant program. We will accept SPARC grant applications through Wednesday, October 10, at 5:00 p.m.

All graduate students who apply for a SPARC grant must attend an application workshop prior to submitting their proposals. The workshop schedule and registration form are included below. The Office of Research encourages students to register ahead for the session of their choice to assure a streamlined sign-in experience, but registration is not required to attend any session. Students who register for a SPARC workshop session, but are unable to attend, are not required to provide notice that they will absent.

In addition to the SPARC workshops, graduate students applying for SPARC may be interested in attending the optional Grant Writing Basics Workshop offered by the Office of the Vice President for Research on Wednesday, September 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Russell House Theater. (The Grant Writing Basics Workshop is not required to apply for a SPARC Grant.)

SPARC Workshop Registration Form

Registration for the 2018 SPARC workshops has closed. If you have not registered, you are still welcome to attend the final session on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Registration is not required.
