Graphic Design and Printmaking Students at SVAD (with the the Ink and Paper student organization) created shirts for the UofSC Women's Soccer game against the University of Notre Dame as part of a project called "Winners By Design." Students screen printed Illustration student Emily Grace's winning design onto over 150 t-shirts that were given out to students, fans, and children. During the soccer event, student work created to promote the concept of "Student Athlete" was displayed on a large TV for the audience to view. This project was funded by a USCreativity grant and the Center for Teaching Excellence and spearheaded by graphic design professor Marius Valdes.
