Nirmal, a member of Professor Angel's group, has been awarded the Wiley-sponsored Raman Student Award.  The award will be announced at the SCiX International conference in the Fall and will be formally presented at the Raman reception.

The award comprises:

1. Complimentary registration to SciX (or reimbursement of this if you have paid already),
2. Up to $750 in the form of travel reimbursement to support attendance at the meeting,
3. A voucher for $350 of Wiley books,
4. An oral presentation slot in the SciX program,
5. A physical commemorative award,
6. Recognition in the final program (including a 250 word bio and photograph).
