The Russell Research Awards are the most prestigious annual prizes for research and scholarship given at Carolina. Each year the University of South Carolina recognizes faculty for outstanding research and scholarship. Full-time, tenure-track faculty are eligible to receive the awards.
Awards are given for innovative research or creative achievement in the form of books, articles, productions, exhibits, compositions or arrangements. A series of presentations can also be considered if each presentation is related to a defined research topic, problem or theme.
Professor Qian Wang received the Russell Research Award for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering.
